I appreciate the prompt response and clarification from Nick. I did
in no way attempt to target Nick's message, I was only trying to get
some explanation from Netiquette experts on the subject of advertizing
     on Internet.

Back to Nick's case, although ORST courses are offered not for profit, many educational institutions do make profit out of training events. I guess if that's the answer, may be a statement of not for profit character should be included at the begining of any message that includes selling something.

Mondher.

Dear Monder_Chehata & DEVEL-L,

Thank you for the note. I myself was concerned with the possible breach of netiquette when considering the post. Being new to the Internet, I consulted an experienced cybernaut about putting our courses on this list.

The response was to go ahead and post, since the courses are offered on a not for profit basis. The University is offering these courses on a cost recovery basis only, as is required by state law.

I apologize if this post was not in line with list norms.

Thanks again Nick Hobgood
