Solar Energy International announces its 1995 schedule of

HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS ON THE PRACTICAL USE OF SOLAR, WIND & WATER POWER

Solar Energy International (SEI), a non-profit educational organization whose purpose is to encourage the practical use of renewable energy through education and technical assistance, announces the opening of registration for its 1995 RENEWABLE ENERGY EDUCATION PROGRAM (REEP). The REEP series will feature the following hands-on workshops beginning in March:

Sacramento, CA: March 13-18 Advanced Photovoltaics & PV/Utility Interface Tucson, AZ: March 27 - April 1 Photovoltaic Design & Installation Raleigh, NC: April 17-22 Photovoltaic Design & Installation

Carbondale, CO: Photovoltaic Design & May 8-19 Installation July 17-28 Sept 11-22

Advanced Photovoltaics May 22 - June 2 July 31 - Aug 11 Sept 25 - Oct 6

Solar Home & Environmental June 12-30 Building Technologies October 9-27

Solar Cooking & Biofuels July 10-14

Wind Power August 14-25

Micro-Hydro Electric Aug 28 - Sept 8

In addition, during June and October in Carbondale SEI will be leading weekend hands-on workshops on Earth-friendly building technologies such as straw-bale construction, adobe and rammed earth, and breathable straw/clay walls.

The REEP series is intended for owner-builders, industry technicians, business owners, career seekers, and people working in developing countries. The workshops may be taken individually or as part of a comprehensive program. Tuition is discounted in proportion to the number of courses in which the participant is enrolled. Most workshops are taught through SEI's solar-powered facility in Carbondale, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
