INTERNATIONAL DISASTER SPECIALISTS FOR FORMER YUGOSLAVIAPosition available with the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (AID/BHR/OFDA) of the U.S. Agency for International Development for Field Representative who will be responsible for monitoring, assessing and reporting to the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) Leader on emergency assistance programs. Position Requirements: U.S. citizen; and bachelor's degree with advanced training in international relations, economics, food policy or related field. Selection Criteria: International emergency and humanitarian assistance work in potentially dangerous civil strife situations for minimum of one year; overseas project management experience and rehabilitation and relief issues; experience working with IOs, UN agencies, USG agencies and PVOs/NGOs providing services in disaster relief; evidence of strong writing and/or reporting and inter-personal skills are essential. No accompanied dependents allowed due to the security situation. One year personal services contract with possible one year renewal starting June, 1995. Salary up to GS-13 equivalent depending on qualifications of applicant. Closing date: April 28, 1995.
