As you know (from my last message, last week), we (Partners of the

Americas Brasilia/Washington DC Partner Committee), with other

local NGOs and with the Government of Distrito Federal (= Brasilia,

the Brazilian capital), are developing a pilot project in a poor satellite

city nearby.

The project (to fight the hunger and misery there, and increase the

citizenship awareness) includes a social bank, to lend money to

the "unbankable" popular entrepreneurs. About this, I have demanded

(in that message) information and am receiving, since then, many

responses, very interesting, giving me new directions to find more

information. And I am following all these advises.

But I would like to know the very address of the Grameen Bank, in

Bangladesh, to be informed about their latest achievements and

evaluations, and their present rules, criteria and orientations.

World Neighbors sent me a long interview with Muhammad Yunus,

Grameen Bank founder, very interesting, but from May 1991.

VITA also has sent important information about their projects on

micro enterprise development, another high priority matter for us.

Soon I will send to you many information about Brazilian

present culture and problems, which may help you to better

understand us, and yourselves too.

Thank you, again.
