A requester who has a project in Cambodia wants to know if a
procedure has been developed to produce soybean meal from whole
soybean without the use of expensive cooker-extruder technology.

He wants to produce a soybean meal for poultry feed without using a cooker-extruder. The solution should result in a good quality soybean meal without oil extraction or expensive processing equipment for use in a small feed mill or on a farm in Cambodia.

He was advised to use a 55-gallon drum with sand in it to heat treat the whole soybeans and then grind them.
