CONFERENCE This year's conference will present 426 sessions in eleven (11) parallel IAoM '96 divisions consisting of 142 topical area tracks. Together they will offer an outstanding selection of papers, research in progress, symposia, panels, workshops, case studies and proposals. Awards will be made for the best papers selected from each of the 11 IAoM '96 divisions listed in this announcement.
IAoM '96 THEME "Global Interdependencies and Leadership in the 21st Century"
DRAFT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES You are invited to submit three draft copies of a completed paper, symposium, case study, research in progress paper, panel discussion, or other activity. Papers should be original, unpublished elsewhere, in the style of the American Psychological Association (APA), fourth edition, and no longer than 5000 words (approximately 25 front and back typewritten double spaced pages on A4 or American sized, 8.5" x 11" 20# white bond paper). Include an abstract with the body of the full paper.
Symposia, panels, workshops and other proposals should include the names and affiliations of the individuals who have agreed to participate and a 1-2 page summary of the topic, including a description of how the session will be structured.
Research in progress submissions should be no longer than 2000 words in length and include a one-page abstract.
All submissions should include a separate title page with each author's full name, affiliation, complete address, telephone, and if available, fax number and e-mail address. Where possible, correspondence with presenting authors will be done by e-mail. Also identify the name of the IAoM DIVISION with its corresponding DIVISION TRACK CODE (e.g., ESR-06) ON THE TITLE PAGE. In addition, include an address where you can be reached during the summer months. MAIL YOUR ENTRIES BEFORE THE SUBMISSION POSTMARKED DEADLINE OF APRIL 15, 1996 directly to the a division chairperson of interest or to the conference program co-chairperson noted at the end of this call.
All USA originating submissions should be accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped postcard (with paper title written on reverse) to acknowledge receipt, and a self-addressed, legal size envelope to be used in returning referee committee decisions. Non USA originating submissions should include international postage vouchers with the postcards and envelopes.
PUBLICATIONS The IAoM publishes (1) a Best Papers Proceedings (consisting of the most distinguished refereed submissions from each of the IAoM Divisions), and (2) 11 separate division related proceedings containing all of the refereed submissions accepted for conference presentation. Full papers will be published in their entirety. Extended abstracts will be published for symposia, panel discussions, research-in-progress papers, workshops and other accepted proposal formats. Please note the division discriptions indicated below.
In addition, papers judged by the review process to be the best candidates for IAoM journal publication will, with the approval of the authors, be forwarded to the senior editors of The International Association of Management Journal (IAoMJ), The Journal of Management Systems (JMS), The Journal of Information Technology Management (JITM), Leadership and Leaders Journal (LLJ), The International Journal of Computer Science and InformationManagement (CSIM), and/or the Global Information Systems Journal (GISJ). Maximilian Press Publishers publishes all six of the International Association of Management's (IAoM) journals.
SUBMISSION ACCEPTANCE NOTICE: Qualified conference presenting authors will be notified of submission acceptance by May 1st, 1996. Presenting authors of accepted submissions will have the opportunity to make revisions of their entries prior to submitting the final version by June 3rd, 1996. At that time, a disk in MSWord or WordPerfect version of the final paper or extended abstract should be submitted, along with 2 camera ready laser printed originals. Submitting an electronic document as a backup to a camera ready version is contingent upon the paper being accepted for presentation and publication, BUT IS NOT required for submitting draft papers for the initial review. The conference and/or divison chairpersons will provide assistance for those presenting authors of accepted submissions who are new to submitting electronic documents. Accepted papers, scheduled for conference presentation, will be officially indexed and published by Maximilian Press Publishers.

IAoM CONFERENCE REGISTRATION FORM: The IAoM Conference Registration Form may be obtained from either the conference program office or from any of the division chairpersons noted in the various division sections of this call for papers. After your paper or proposal has gone through the blind referee process and accepted for presentation and publication, mail said, along with a check or money order in US Dollars or credit card authorization (VISA, MasterCard or American Express only), directly to IAoM Conference Registration, in care of Dr. T. IAoM CONFERENCE FEES: The EARLY submisssion of the IAoM Conference Fee, applicable to registrations postmarked by June 3, 1996, is US $285 for all academics, practitioners and attending delegates. AFTER that date, registration is US $385. For full-time students, the EARLY registration fee is US $200. AFTER that date, registration for full-time students is $250. Conference fees cover admission to all speaker presentation sessions, one copy of the official program, the proceedings in which published or selected, the opening welcome reception and sponsored events.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS: The headquarters hotel for IAoM is the Royal York Hotel, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. All conference attendees are responsible for arranging their own accommodatons. Special rates are: Single and double occupancy, $175.; Junior Suite, $229. A third person sharing is an additional $20. per night. Children 18 years old and under sharing their parents' accommodation are complimentary. All of the rates are quoted in Canadian funds. Alternate accommodations available. Contact IAoM Hq. for quotes.
PROGRAM PARTICIPATION: All program participants must register for the conference and present their papers personally. The Association (IAoM) investigates no-shows. Therefore, delegates are urged to either personally budget for the conference or acquire institutional support. The Association does not pay for travel to or from the meeting or for any other expenses.
