Just to add to the debate about using technology in medicine.....the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Rural Utilities Service is pursuing the concept of Telemedicine. The program is in the experimental phase. They are currently giving grants to set up pilot programs to see where they ought to go with this. But the Dept. of Agriculture thinks that Telemedicine will have a place in U.S. medical practice.
