NEEDED:

JURIST OR ACADEMIC WITH STRONG KNOWLEDGE OF TIBET

The International Commission of Jurists (ICJ), a Geneva-based organization dedicated to the promotion of human rights through the Rule of Law, is preparing a comprehensive report on the human rights situation in Tibet, with particular reference to the question of the protection of the distinct cultural, religious, linguistic and ethnic identity of the Tibetan people.

The ICJ is seeking a highly-qualified academic or jurist with a strong knowledge of Tibet, fluency in written English, research skills, and access to documentation on Tibet to assist in the preparation of the report. The expert would conduct 3-4 months of secondary research and drafting over the next year and possibly participate in field research in India/Nepal.
