I got a request to see if I knew anyone who would be good for the position of Project Director for the Rural Development and Community Foundations Initiative at the Aspen Institute's Washington DC headquarters. This initiative is a multi-year project launched and funded by the Ford Foundation's Rural Poverty and REsources Program. The goal is to explore the role that community foundations can play in enhancing the economic security of rural families and improving the viability of rural communities. Responsibilities include designing and organizing the technical assistance, peer learning, chronicling and communication components of the Initative. Clsoing date for applications is May 17.
