OPEN POSITION: Disaster Logistics Specialist with OFDA


The Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) of the U.S. Agency for
International Development is recruiting for the position of Disaster
Logistics Specialist, one year personal services contract with possible
renewal.  The Disaster Logistics Specialist will assist in planning,
coordinating, executing and reporting on all actions and functions required
for a range of logistical support activities for OFDA response missions and
maintenance of OFDA's logistics system.  The Specialist will also provide
support for efficient disaster relief operations, assist in maintenance of
six worldwide disaster relief stockpiles, assist in identification of
transportation and logistics experts, and assist in dispatching of
qualified personnel to foreign disaster locations.  Other associated tasks
as required.  U.S. citizen. Employment is contingent on the candidates
ability to qualify for a secret clearance with USAID.

Salary range for the first year is at the GS 7 level, $26,532 to $34,487.
Growth to GS 9 is possible in the future.
