THE LEAST OF THESE
Program Highlights
HCJB--The Voice of the Andes
April 20, 1998

This week on HCJB's program The Least of These we will offer two very interesting interviews. We will talk with Pablo Vera, the Coordinator of the New Life Resource Network, a World Relief project in Miami, Florida. Mr. Vera will talk about his agency's challenging and fulfilling work with immigrants in what he says is the fourth poorest city in the United States. Then, we will spend time with World Vision's retiring president, Mr. Robert Seipel. In this fascinating conversation, Mr. Seipel talks about the ethics of development work, why he has no sympathy for the concept of "donor fatigue," and the state of Christian relief and development work today. The Least of These is a weekly radio program produced by HCJB, The Voice of the Andes in Quito, Ecuador, South America. The title of the program comes from the biblical reference in Matthew 25:40 where Jesus Christ said, "I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to me. Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
