I am actual researching the idea of "corruption" right now as a part of my
dissertation which more specifically centers on international and national
governmental and non governmental orgs at work in conservation and
development in Panama.

Like many terms such as "development," "poverty," "sustainability" this term "corruption" is highly politicized and can be adapted as a kind of weaponry against what might be "normal" behavior, or a part of the "system" in another context/nation, etc.

I know that theoretical discussions are sometimes disdained in this group, but since the applications are very practical in this instance, I wonder if this might not be a thing worth discussing a bit?
