          Hi everyone,

I am sending to the list a number of news about the current political situation in my country, Honduras. Though these are political and social issues, I believe them to be some of the real roots of the socioeconomic underdevelopment and environmental degradation in my country like in the rest of 'developing countries'.

Most of them are newspaper articles. I hope you became actively sympathetic with the Honduran people. If so, I'll appreciate you all send e-mails to President Clinton asking for declassification of the CIA's documents about Honduran army's dead quads, battalion 316, and Human Rights as well as participation of Honduran militaries in the traffic of drugs.

I think this is about time for the American administrations to stop supporting corrupt, criminal armies in my country and Central America. It is about time to support Democracy based on Social Justice and Human Rights for these countries!!

Thank you very much for your solidarity.
