The Pacific Center For International Studies, a think tank which focuses on international environmental policy and legal issues announces the release of its second occasional paper on desertification. The paper, authored by Charles Amuyunzu of the International Institute For Aerospace Surveys And Earth Sciences in the Netherlands, is entitled "Desertification In The East And Southern Africa Sub-Regions: Lessons For The Convention To Combat Desertification." The paper constitutes a synthesis of the presentations made by conferees at the first meeting of Intergovernmental Negotiations Committee For Elaboration of an International Convention to Combat Desertification session held in Nairobi.
