Could anyone recommend useful contacts in South Africa who may be directly involved with innovative models dealing with community-based management of natural resources (lands, agriculture, grazing areas, parks, forests, protected areas, etc.)? Ideally this might include participation of the communities in researching their own situation, identifying management priorities, policy reform options, etc. I would also be interested in knowing of any So. African universities, departments, or individual faculty that are giving attention to this topic and/or participatory research and education associated with agriculture, natural resources management, environmental protection, etc.I would appreciate contact names, fax or E-Mail addresses, mailing addresses, etc. Please send the information directly to me at mailto:butlerl@wsu.edu .
