USAID FY1996 Budget Request Reports for CEE/NIS Countries

Perhaps I am the last person in the country to have found this,
but I noted recently, on the USAID gopher, brief USAID budget
request reports for each country in the CEE/NIS regions in which
the USAID has projects. Members of the list may be interested in
retrieving some of the reports, which are available by country.
The reports identify budget objectives, and provide a review of
some current perspectives on development problems and projects in
each country. The reports range from about 3 to 10 pages, depend-
ing on the country and level of program activity.
If your system has gopher capability, GOPHER to
INFO.USAID.GOV
For example [I am working from a PC linked to an IBM mainframe at
UMaine] - I simply enter on my screen: GOPHER INFO.USAID.GOV
Then I use the ENTER key to trigger the link to the gopher site.
When you connect (sometimes sites are busy), the ROOT MENU will
appear. Then follow these instructions.
>From the Root Menu, select: (i.e. cursor to line, and ENTER)

>From this menu, select:
USAID Publications and Reports
>From this menu, select:
Other USAID Documents and Publications
>From this menu, select:
FY1996 Congressional Presentations
>From this menu, select:
Regional Programs

Europe and New Independent States

--the country(ies) of interest to you
Use the function keys appropriate at your site to review and
download the reports of interest. If you have any questions,
