In celebration of its 55th anniversary, the University of Econom-
ics  in  Bratislava has organized a conference  on  Economic  and
Monetary  Transformation in Central European Countries. The  pur-
pose  of the conference is to analyze the  problems/opportunities
of the current restructuring process in transition economies.

Topics to be addressed during the conference include:

* Problems of the Transition in the Central European Economies * Creation and Development of a Functioning Financial and Bank- ing System in Central European Countries * Development of Trade During the Process of Transition * Analysis of Economic Transformation Processes and Informatics * Management of Enterprises in Transforming Economics * International Communication and Languages

Authors who wish to have a paper considered for presentation at the conference should mail the paper (in English or German) to the Conference Secretariat no later than September 10, 1995. The conference languages will be Slovak, English, and German.

The registration fee is USD 150, which covers conference materi- al, opening reception, and sightseeing.
