SECOND CALL FOR PAPERS:22ND ANNUAL TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER SOCIETY CONFERENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SUMMIT DENVER, COLORADO -- JULY 20-23, 1997
"SUCCE$$--WHAT WORKS IN TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER?"
Abstracts, addressed to the topics of the following four topics, should be received at the address below not later than September 30, 1996. Abstracts should be limited to a single page
TOPIC 1: What Constitutes Succe$$? (Definitions, models, metrics, case studies) TOPIC 2: Transfer--Both In and Out of the Organization (Technology acquisition-- for problem-solving and profit, strategies for licensing and similar formal arrangements) TOPIC 3: Funding R&D Commercialization (Sources, techniques, strategies, barriers, successes) TOPIC 4: Industrial Competitiveness Through Technology Transfer (Industrial R&D consortia, role of government, trade association activities, global competitiveness)
Case studies of successes and why, practical models, analyses of overcoming barriers, and international examples are appropriate across all four tracks. The program will accommodate 72 papers; however, slots will be kept open in each track for particularly timely topics.
Completed papers will be due not later than January 31, 1997 and should be accompanied by outlines of a 20-minute presentation with hard copies of slides or overheads to be used. Details on format will be sent to all authors whose papers are selected.
Authors of accepted papers are expected to present their respective papers at the conference as scheduled. Authors presenting papers will receive a special conference rate
