There are a number of political risk services out there -- I believe the
Economist Intelligence Unit produces one, and there is another which is a
subsidiary of IBC-Donoghue (Boston area). Most of them assign quotients to
various components of risk and come up with an overall risk index for all
countries of the world. These can be then plugged into financial and other
assessment models.
