The Least of These Program Highlights HCJB The Voice of the Andes August 11, 1997Child exploitation in Vietnam is a growing concern, and Chris Fonte will have a report on this week's program. Then, Ralph Kurtenbach will report on the growing famine crisis in North Korea. Nearly 35 years after the U.S. Peace Corps was formed, Jean Siegel, Peace Corps Director in Ecuador will tell how it has changed, what volunteers are doing today and how the Peace Corps has helped those it has served. Finally, Ken Isaacs, Director of Programming for Samaritan's Purse will talk about his organization and reflect on the Christian theological basis for helping the needy. The Least of These is a weekly radio program produced by HCJB, The Voice of the Andes in Quito, Ecuador, South America. The title of the program comes from the biblical reference in Matthew 25:40 where Jesus Christ said, "I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to me. Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
