The Least of These Program Highlights HCJB--The Voice of the Andes July 18, 1997This week's program will focus on health care. We will visit a Family Practice Clinic in the low-income community of Carapungo, north of Quito, where Sheila Leech, director of HCJB's Community Services Department will take us on a tour and talk about the outreach and services of the project. Then, Thomas Geiger, Director of the U.S. Agency for International Development in Ecuador will explore issues such as family planning and health care, and how international development work has changed in recent decades. The Least of These is a weekly radio program produced by HCJB, The Voice of the Andes in Quito, Ecuador, South America. The title of the program comes from the biblical reference in Matthew 25:40 where Jesus Christ said, "I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to me. Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
