THRESHOLD 21 Workshop Invitation
The Millennium Institute invites you attend a one-day training
workshop on THRESHOLD 21, a national sustainable development
model that demonstrates the long-term impacts of national
investment decisions.
Based on the World Bank's main model, the Millennium
Institute's THRESHOLD 21 model includes additional factors such
as population, goods production, agriculture, energy, social
services, environment, education, health care, food and
nutrition, water, forest, land, and other sectors.
Development economists, embassy economic staff, managers of
international banks and insurance firms, and staff of
development-related NGOs can benefit from this workshop.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 1997 from
8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the National Capital Planning Commission
in Washington, DC, 801 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Seats are
limited, and early reservations are encouraged. Participants
need to bring PC laptop computers (at least a 486 processor,
Windows 3.1, and 5 MB free on hard disk) for installation of
the THRESHOLD 21 model.
