Responsibilities: Engage U.S. and Romanian agribusiness's in strategic alliances that encourage economic development, trade, investment, a d policy reform in Romania's agribusiness sector.
Requirements: Degree in business and/or agribusiness-related field. Significant work experience in Central and Eastern Europe and/or he former Soviet Union. Working knowledge of U.S. Agency for International Development structure and objectives. Excel ent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated skill in project organization and administration. High degree o flexibility and ability to work and live in a developing country. Frequent and extended travel from employee's home ba e is necessary to fulfill job requirements. Romanian-language ability preferred.
Additional Info: This position will require living in Romania where the living and working conditions are significantly different from th U.S. Certain commodities are scarce and unavailable; household utilities (water, electricity, and garbage collection) re frequently disrupted; health services are limited and many times antiquated; communication is infrequent and often im ossible; economic conditions are uncertain; business ethics, protocol, regulations and restrictions are numerous and eve -changing.
