INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPECIALISTS

RTI's Center for International Development is seeking specialists in the following areas to provide technical assistance in developing countries and generate opportunities for additional work:

(1) SOCIAL SECTOR DEVELOPMENT ECONOMIST. Recent Master's or Ph.D in economics or related social science with knowledge, skills, and experience in social sector finance, quantitative analysis, and fluency in one or more major language in addition to English, particularly Spanish, is sought. Experience in poverty alleviation, social welfare programs (e.g., safety nets, social security, insurance), and / or innovative financing mechanisms (e.g., tax schemes, block grants, investment programs) will be a plus.

(2) EDUCATION POLICY / MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST. Mid-level professional with Master's or Ph.D. and at least three solid years' consulting experience in developing countries is sought. Expertise in organizational development and policy implementation, quantitative analytical skills, and fluency in Spanish, French, and/or another major language as well as English are highly desired. Experience with education economics or finance, monitoring and evaluation, and/or dialogue and negotiation will be a plus.
