These comments provide an interesting perspective.

Additional documentation could be helpful as long a you don't overload = recipient. It must be clearly written part. if the innovation is = complex.

Going for more senior people in the org. is a good one. From my = experience, the issue usually ends up with the person you aimed the = technology at. But I agree with your approach.

Filling the authorities in on what you are doing, I would have to say is = a no no, particularly with the mining companies I have advised to. This = would be a severe career limiting move! But again, I think the essence = is sensible. Why not show the recipient of the technology that the = impact that will be addressed is in breach of xyz legislation? Chances = are that the recipient will be asking for advice because they have a = legal problem to start with.

I think that understanding the environmental management framework (or = dare I say system) of your target organisation will help as well. = Anything that you advise on should be consistent with this framework = otherwise it may be difficult to get the information/technology across.
