I not only wonder, but am frankly incredulous when a person has nothing to say but carps repeatedly at another's saying something. I consider a mailing list a place to pass on news, whether of the outside world or ones inner space -- is there something new in your post which I have overlooked? Has some new idea of 'development' been developed, by which a stifling conservatism equates to progress? (Too bad you cant afford to tell everyone about it ;-))

Uwe and I have exchanged many messages on various topics, and while he did confirm that he pays 'by the byte,' I did not get the impression that he *objected to doing so. Actually, I thought it was rather remarkable that of the several hundred subscribers here, there was only the one response. As with any other issue in any other social space, the custom of 'counting noses' goes a long way towards deciding a course of behaviour. In short, if there is a higher and better use for this list, let's see it.

Perhaps if you were to offer your idea of development, there would be more to comprehend. Does the idea of a free market in ideas disturb you?

Good luck, kerry
