Even after my personal researching travel to the USA,
I am still very impressed with the lack of information
available to those wanting start a micro credit system
really fit to succeed.

Consider the main event I have attended: the Micro Credit Summit Preparatory Meeting - since septembre/october I have read about it - scheduled to november - in the Beijing list. I even forwarded it to this list, and some people manifested back they also would like to know more about the meeting. I asked for more information from the original list - and it indicated the Earth Times as its source. I e-mailed them and they requested my fax number. But later, they informed that the meeting would be in november next year. Then e-mailed all that correspondence to this list. But when I was in Chicago, I knew that the meeting would help 5 days later - and I could attend it. But I have considered the whole situation very strange: nor I neither any other fellow from the lists I subscribe were able to be properly informed about this important meeting. How was it possible? I always believed these lists (devel-l, enter-l e partners) were the most informed about micro enterprises...

Anyway, what should we do nextly? As you know, I brought many publications on micro credit, and I will make them available through our home page (very soon...). But tonight I will send to you an example of the material I got: I will send a paper from the World Bank - showing their interest in becoming more active with micro finance.

Tomorrow I will send some material from the Micro Credit Summit. I hope you will enjoy...
