The way I see it, according to the law of 'increasing returns', the only chance a colonized nation has of taking the place of the colonizer is if the colonizer suddenly disappears! but even then we go back to the initial argument of somebody colonizing somebody else. This reminded me of "Animal farm" (sorry, I forgot the name of the author)
