Program Highlights
HCJB--The Voice of the Andes
December 15 and 22, 1997


        In celebration of the Christmas season, we will be presenting a
special program for the next two weeks on The Least of These. "The
Season of Love" is a Christmas musical special featuring the musical
group 4 Him and presented by the Christian child development
organization Compassion International. Hosted by Jon Rivers, the
special will feature special Christmas music and provide information
about the work of Compassion around the world.
        The Least of These is a weekly radio program produced by HCJB, The
Voice of  the Andes in Quito, Ecuador, South America. The title of the
program comes from the biblical reference in Matthew 25:40 where Jesus
Christ said,
        "I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you
gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I
needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to me.  Whatever you did for one of the
least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."


        The Least of These is broadcast on HCJB, The Voice of the Andes
                on the following Schedule:


        To The South Pacific: 10:00 UTC on 9640 kHz
        To Europe:  20:00 UTC on 12015 kHz
                (may also be heard in Africa and Middle East)
        To The Americas: 2 and 5:00 (UTC Tuesday),
                 (9 p.m. Monday and 12 a.m. Tuesday  Eastern Standard
                Time)  9745 kHz
