I hope someone has replied directly to you by now! Welcome to the foremost mailing list devoted *entirely* to solving technical problems, where I never imagined a food dryer should go begging.

Really here isn't much lighter technology than a covered rack which a) elevates the grain (or vegetables, or fruit, or fish) for cleanliness, and b) has enough of a glass cover tto create a thermal draft, for good air circulation. Whether you make it small or large, portable or fixed, with stainless steel shelves or muslin screens depends on your circumstances.

If there are data to show the cost-benefit ratio for _powered dryers, I hope someone will post a citation.
