THE LEAST OF THESE
Program Highlights
HCJB--The Voice of the Andes
January 5, 1998
The plight of children and what is being done to address their
situation will be the focus of this week's program. We will talk with
Bruce Harris, executive Director of Casa Alianza in Central America
about his agency's work there with street children. Then, Allen Graham
will talk with Armenio Pinero of Compassion International about that
organization's work in South America.
The Least of These is a weekly radio program produced by HCJB, The
Voice of the Andes in Quito, Ecuador, South America. The title of the
program comes from the biblical reference in Matthew 25:40 where Jesus
Christ said,
"I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you
gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I
needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to me. Whatever you did for one of the
least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
