In cosponsorship with the International Consortium for Agricultural = Systems Applications and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, IFDC is organizing = an International Training Program on Computer Simulation for Crop Growth = and Management Responses to be held in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, = during February=A021-March=A03, 2000.
The program will focus on computer simulation of nutrient dynamics in cropping systems using the CERES, SUBSTOR, and CROPGRO crop simulation models within the new DSSAT Version=A03.5. Practical approaches to = simulating the effects of soil, climatic, and management factors and their = interaction with the nutrient needs of crops will be developed. The enclosed = brochure gives full details of the program.
We invite you to enroll personnel who would benefit from this program = and share the brochure with colleagues and other organizations who may be interested. To enroll, please fill in and return the attached = enrollment form by e-mail, fax, or by post to us on or before February=A010, 2000. = The participants will receive more detailed information later. Meanwhile, = if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Details of the training program can also be obtained by visiting our Web=A0Site:=A0http://www.ifdc.org.
