There is a group of us students at the University of California
at Davis developing a class project around Urban Waste Management in
Cairo. One component of the project is to develop an exchange of
resources between urban dwellers (Zabbaleen community) and rural farmers.
We are looking for contacts who can provide us information/resources on
current practices and cultural norms regarding waste and composting in
Cairo/Egypt, the Zabbaleen community, and the rural farmer outside of Cairo.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
