SOLAR, WIND AND WATER POWER RENEWABLE ENERGY WORKSHOPS 1996 SCHEDULESolar Energy International (SEI) is offering a series of How-to, Hands-on Workshops in their 1996 RENEWABLE ENERGY EDUCATION PROGRAM (REEP). Workshops are offered in the spring in Tucson, Arizona and Asheville, North Carolina, throughout the summer in Carbondale, Colorado, and in the fall in North Carolina and New York. The Workshops include: Solar Home Design, Environmental Building Technologies, Photovoltaic Design & Installation, Advanced Photovoltaics, Solar Water Pumping, Wind Power, Micro-Hydro Power, and Solar Cooking.
Internationally renowned guest speakers and professional instructors will teach participants how to design and build state-of-the-art solar homes that are self-reliant, energy efficient, healthy to live in and environmentally concious.
The workshops are for owner-builders, people seeking careers as solar professionals, and people wanting to work in developing countries. The one and two week workshops may be taken individually or as part of a comprehensive program. International participants are encouraged to attend a total of nine workshop weeks beginning May 28 and concluding August 2.
SEI is a non-profit 501(c)3 educational organization whose mission is to encourage the practical use of renewable energies through education and technical assistance.
