Message-ID: <199602102350.SAA06656@outpost.ietc.ca> Date: Sat, 10 Feb 1996 18:50:57 -0500 From: "Georges Lessard's Mass Media Arts, Training, Creation, Subject: Hello DEVEL-L List & Introduction To: Multiple recipients of list DEVEL-L <mailto:DEVEL-L@AMERICAN.EDU>
I signed up to the Technology Transfer in International Development list because I have been teaching people how to protect their rights and to communicate using the electronic media (TV and Radio mostly) for over 20 years.I have worked with the Inuit of Nunavut (Arctic Quebec) and the Inuvialuit of Canada's Western Northwest Territories; taught journalism, Electronic News Gathering; Mass Media and Interpersonal Communications at the College of the Bahamas in Nassau, the Bahamas.
I have just returned from Beijing, People's Republic of China where I worked for the government's English language propaganda organs at the China Daily group.
My specialty has been working with voiceless community groups to help them learn how to exercise their freedom of speech, electronically.
I am looking for opportunities to continue to do this type of work. I have few expenses and not much desire to earn a lot of money, so I will consider volunteering if the circumstances are right.
I will also live anywhere in the world, again, if the circumstances are right.
Any help or information anyone might be able to give would be appreciated.
I look forward to adding my two fen to the discussions.
