Hi all:
With a somewhat sly ;-) of the eye to those who vociferously claim no
government employee EVER does anything useful, here's a recent post from
Michael Patterson on the issue of micro-credit:

>There are over 200 microenterprise and microlending groups in US. The
>Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO) serves as a trade association
>for these organizations. Contact AEO at 70 East Lake St.; Suite 520;
>Chicago, IL 60601-5907; 1-312-357-0177. AEO will be holding its fifth annual
>conference in Providence RI, May 1-3, 1996. Between 300-400 attend AEO
>conferences, and this is the quickest way to get to know the field in the
>U.S.

You guys are the experts. What Website has the most succinct, concise, easy to read yet detailed description of micro-lending? I'm trying to talk an agency in my state into sponsoring it, statewide, and need selling points.
