               EGOPHER Gets Graphical!

Introducing EWEB

Saint Louis University's Entrepreneurship Website

DO YOU WANT TO FIND...

HOW to search for key business information (company, market, etc.) on the WWW?

WHICH entrepreneurship chairs are open?

WHO will provide you FREE ABI/Inform access via the NET?

If you answered yes to any of the above, then you want to find EWEB!

EWEB builds on the award winning EGOPHER entrepreneurship gopher to provide a new set of useful resources for people interested in improving the practice of entrepreneurship. EWEB's unique value-added approach focuses on providing "how-to" knowledge about the WWW to people interested in entrepreneurship. To try it out go to:

http://www.slu.edu/eweb

Resources available through EWEB include:

* Interactive tutorials showing people how to use the INTERNET to find general information, marketing information, financial information, company information, entrepreneurship research data, software, K-12 business informaton and articles (and more topics are in production!).

* The "Big 6 Sites" identifying and hotlinking to those few sites which give entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship academics the most and best information. A great way to quickly cut to what's really useful for entrepreneurs on the Web.

* The February 1996 Edition of the "Chair List", complete with ***currently open*** positions and known visiting positions! The list has almost 160 US positions!

And of course the approaches used on EGOPHER, arranging information by function, topic, people and organizations still exists. In addition, all EGOPHER services, such as the Harold Welsch/ICSB bibliography are accessible through EWEB to optimize your web work.

EWEB is brought to you by the same team which developed EGOPHER (given an "A+" by the University of Michigan INTERNET Guide, winner of a 1994 ANU "Best of the INTERNET" Award), lead by Jerry Katz, called "the cyberpreneur" by INC Magazine's 1995 article profiling top small business researchers.

EWEB and EGOPHER are services provided by the Jefferson Smurfit Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Saint Louis University. For more information contact the Center at (314)977-3850, or Jerry Katz (mailto:katzja@sluvca.slu.edu).
