Just got back from 6 weeks in Gudalajara. While I was there, I
read an interesting statistic in the Mexican papers. The article said
that in the last 20 years, Venezuela had earned 250 Billion dollars from
oil and today, over 80% of its citizens live below the poverty line.
This doesn't surprise Mexicans since they havre watched Pemex
squaunder even more billions of dollars with nothing to show for it
except exploding drainage systems in their neighborhoods.
