An article in a Mexican newspaper said that a survey was
conducted in Paraguay which showed that after 8 years of democracy and
two free elections for President, between 60 and 70 percent of the
people surveyed said that they had been better off under Stroessner, the
dictator for the previous 34 years.  Dave Johnson
