If there's some social service component to what you're doing, try the
   American Red Cross, and similar agencies identifiable by your
   United Way Helpline.  They keep listings of people who will do
   low-cost translations, for social service purposes.  At the very
   least, they could give you leads.  Especially for exotic languages,
   that is the first place I check out.  Next stop is a University.
   If you can find someone from a Francophone country, a student,
   perhaps, that's another way.




A down to earth question -


I'm looking for a native English speaker with French to English
experience, ideally with a social science background,  to translate
project documents (150 pages describing technology transfer).
