Hello,

INTRODUCTION Please take a few minutes to read this message if you are involved in or know of:

'Design for Sustainable Development' NETWORKS around the world'.

I am currently compiling a concise directory on the above topic (40-60 entries). Please accept my apologises if this message is not appropriate to you or you have already received it and responded.

BROAD CRITERIA I am looking for organisations which can be clearly recognised as supporting networking activities that contribute to the goal of 'Sustainable Production and Consumption'.

For example, the UNEP-WG-SPD which has 770 members in its network, Eco2 (50 members), O2 Global Network, the Greening of Industry Network and the National Cleaner Production Centres supported by the UNEP-IE in Paris. The survey includes big networks but I am also interested in small ones. The main factor is that the organisation is involved in 'networking' as one of its a main activities and is the main contact point for the network.

The information might be about your own NETWORK or another that you recommend.

AS A SMALL THANK YOU If your contribution is included in the final Directory, you will receive a copy FREE of charge.

WHO IS THE PROJECT FOR? The project is being undertaken for the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions - an autonomous body of the European Union established by the E.C. Council of Ministers in 1975. The Directory is likely to be distributed throughout the European Union and possibly published in different languages. The results may also be made available as a searchable database on the World Wide Web.

Through this project any NETWORK in the Directory will have the opportunity for free publicity throughout the E.U.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR CONTRIBUTION If you can contribute information about a NETWORK on 'Design for Sustainable Development' please do so as soon as possible and note the following special request:

PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR INFORMATION USING YOUR WWW BROWSER AND THE SUBMISSION FORM THAT HAS BEEN PUT ONLINE AT:

http://145.18.120.18/networkform.htm

This will save a lot of administrative work in the building up of the directory. If you are unable to do this then please request the:

Email Submission Form by replying to this message.

It will be forwarded to you by return.

Thank you for any time and information that you provide.

Kind Regards

Dr. Yorick Benjamin
