                      TO THE TECHNET THINK TANK:

BUILDING A LEARNING SOCIETY IN EL SALVADOR

FEBRUARY 12 TO MARCH 5, 1999

Greetings:

You are invited to subscribe to the World Bank TechNet Think Tank electronic discussion "Building a Learning Society in El Salvador", organized by the Government of El Salvador and run by Conectandonos al Futuro. This electronic discussion is an opportunity to take part in the process of mapping out Learning Society strategy for El Salvador, to be presented to the Government, private sector and civil society groups for endorsement in May, 1999. The discussion will run from February 12 to March 5.

HOW IT WORKS

A Think Tank is a conference discussion that is conducted entirely through electronic means. Approximately 50 experts from government, private sector, academia, NGOs, international organizations and the World Bank will discuss these issues for a period of three weeks. The discussion will be broadcast only to subscribers, but readers are encouraged to comment and to pose questions.

To participate in this event, you will need to subscribe by sending an e-mail message in the following form:

To: mailto:listproc@vita.org Subject: ESLS2 Text: subscribe ESLS2 FirstName LastName

(Give your own FirstName and LastName)

After you subscribe, you will receive by e-mail a welcome letter with conference details from Volunteers in Technical Assistance (VITA), the conference manager. Beginning February 13 you will find the conference contributions posted on the TechNet Think Tank archive at www.vita.org/technet/esls.

We look forward to your participation!
