The International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) is organizing a 2-week study tour on Advances in Agricultural Production and Fertilization in the United States. The program will be conducted June 18-29, 2001, and will involve visits to a number of locations where new and progressive technologies are being developed and implemented.

The program fee is US $1,800 (US $2,000 for late registrants) and covers registration, training materials, and surface transportation in the United States. The fee does not cover board and lodging and miscellaneous expenses during the program, international air travel, or air travel within the United States.

We invite you to participate or to nominate personnel from your organization who will benefit from the program. To enroll, please complete the enclosed program registration form and return it to us by June 5, 2001. Please note there will be an additional charge for late registration.

Most international participants will be required to have a visa to enter the United States. Therefore, we strongly encourage any prospective program participants to contact the United States Embassy/Consulate to schedule an appointment. This should be done as early as possible, e.g., 3-4 months before the program commences.

We look forward to participation of representatives from your organization. We would also request your assistance in distributing this announcement, perhaps through professional organizations, industry associations, and personal contacts. Please feel free to distribute copies of the brochure to interested parties, and we will gladly send additional copies upon request.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.
