I'm amazed at how many times I've seen this warning on different lists and
the ensuing patient explanations that there is no such internet virus.  Yet I
wonder how many readers who also know there is no "Good Times" virus
hesitated when they saw the subject line of this message...

The "Good Times" hoax actually acts as a virus in a different way - using up your time & mine, bandwith &c with sincerely forwarded "warnings" about a virus that does not exist and necessary explanations that there is no cause for worry. Maybe the whole thing also leaves a certain amount of uncertainty and fear in its wake...
