***Just want to say that I'd be saddened if this level of discussion ceased
as a result of bandwidth issues, even though I certainly understand and
acknowledge the concerns of those who have to pay for each message, etc.

I have been very heartened to see the recent whole-hearted discussion take place. From my perspective, the essence of the dialog has been long overdue on this list (and also elsewhere), and was extremely happy (and relieved) to see this level of discussion finally emerge here.

It would be a shame if it had to stop for bandwidth (i.e. financial reasons). I think of other debates and discussions that have happened over the centuries. True, they probably suffered from some kind of physical limitations as well (how many lines can appear in a letter, how many delegates can attend a convention, etc.) But to see the Internet, with its enormous potential for group consciousness evolvement limited in this way pains me greatly.

Que sera sera, I guess. Shame the world is potentially being held hostage to the limitaitons.
