>The Membership & Delegations Coordinator will work closely with Witness
for Peace's base of support, including Regional Coordinators, to develop
and expand the WFP membership program. The Membership and Delegations
Coordinator will also oversee the organization's study tour (Delegations)
program, providing technical assistance and guidance to coordinators of
about 15 delegations annually to Central America and the Caribbean.
Further, the Membership & Delegations Coordinator, along with other staff
members -- the International Programs Coordinator, the Grassroots
Coordinator, the Financial Director and the Executive Director -- will
form a team to advance our educational and action campaigns and
initiatives. The Membership & Delegations Coordinator is accountable to
the Executive Director.

>Responsibilities

> Coordinate the Witness for Peace delegation (study tours) program
in concert with other staff and volunteers;
> Coordinate the development, production and distribution of
membership resources and benefits;
> Participate in the fundraising operations of Witness for Peace,
assisting in researching and writing grants, editing copy, and working
with major donors;
> Participate in the production of the Witness for Peace newsletter
and other WFP publications;
> Participate in the creation and distribution of educational
resources and promotional materials;
> Participate in the development and organization of non-violent
action campaigns and initiatives;

>Qualifications
>
> Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills,
including computer literacy;
> Detail-orientation and high level of organization;
> Experience in membership organizations, and in working with
volunteers;
> Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and juggle varied
tasks;
> Grassroots organizing experience;
> Knowledge of the cultural, political, and economic condition of
countries in Central America and Haiti, and the history of US policy
towards the region;
> Commitment to the principles of non-violence, and to the
organization's faith-based orientation

>The Membership & Delegations Coordinator position is available
immediately. Salary is $25,000, plus a very generous benefits package.
