***************************************************************** I have today received the IREX announcement regarding opportuni- ties to host NIS visitors participating in one of the two pro- grams outlined below. The announcement provides a brief overview of the disciplines of program participants, grant provisions for visiting Fellows/Scholars, and the general requirements for U.S. institutions who wish to host visitors.I would like to encourage our U.S. list members to request more information from IREX. During the past two years, I have hosted four visitors at the Maine Business School, and have found the program very rewarding. The visitors were from Kazakstan, Moldo- va, and Ukraine - and I have maintained contact with the visitors after their return home. All expenses are covered by the funding agency. Hosting does take some time and energy, but my experience is that the personal/professional rewards far exceeded the cost of any time/energy I devoted to the task. Highly recommended.
