Hello Technology Buffs:I run a small consulting firm that specializes in the development of appropriate technologies applications, the management of development projects and the marketing of the end products from these projects. We work in partnership with local communities and creditable (science based) conservation organizations. Our funding is both public and private. We have developed a number of low tech but commodity based business concepts, and are presently working in South and Central America developing commercialization projects. We are seeking partners and funding resources for our projects. These would be communities, local governments, conservation organizations, private investors, as well as foundation and government funding resources. All of our projects are profitable e.g. they generate positive cash flow.
Our flag ship project is based upon a (low capital) technology to convert agricultural waste into (commercial grade) paper pulp and organic (pellatized) fertilizer. The technology also produces enough energy internally to run most of the equipment functions. As many of you know, agricultural effluents are the number one water way pollutant in most developing countries. Soil quality (fertilizer) is a primary source of trade imbalance and desertification. The technology also utilizes marginalized labor.
We also can develop new technologies around specific human and natural resources; including all engineering, market analysis, equipment specification and procurement, etc. We start with a site analysis and follow the project all the way to the end, taking an equity and active interest in the long term success of the projects.
I am interested to know of organizations and individuals who would be interested in our programs. Please e.mail or call Tom Horton at 800 888 2647.
Thank you and Be green when you can...
