                   Country Director - Georgia
              International Executive Service Corps
*****************************************************************
The  International  Executive Service Corps (IESC)  is  currently
seeking  candidates for the position of Country  Director,  IESC-
Georgia.   Funded primarily by the U.S. Agency for  International
Development (USAID), IESC is a private, not-for-profit  organiza-
tion  dedicated to performing technical, managerial  and  profes-
sional  advisory services to small and medium-sized companies  in
over  50 countries worldwide.  IESC delivers this  assistance  to
client enterprises by utilizing the expertise of senior  American
volunteer executives and industry experts.

Responsibilities:

* Identify, develop and manage short-term consulting projects with small and medium scale enterprises throughout the Republic of Georgia; * Track project progress, assess IESC impact and develop strate- gies for IESC follow-up; * Provide briefings to visiting volunteer senior executives and industry consultants on local economic, political and social conditions; * Maintain contact with all IESC Georgian clients; * Assist international investors with market research, strategic considerations and establishing business and government rela- tions; * Market and promote IESC's business development services; * Prepare quarterly reports; * Prepare monthly accounting reports; * Report directly to IESC's Regional Director, who will be based in Yerevan, Armenia.

Qualified Candidates should possess:

* Proficiency in Russian or Georgian; * At least 1-2 years experience working in the former Soviet Union; * Excellent analytical and writing skills; * An M.B.A. or equivalent business experience; * A willingness to work long hours in adverse conditions; * An entrepreneurial and creative approach to economic develop- ment; * An ability to handle multiple tasks; * Experience with business resources on the Internet.
