World  Learning  has posted announcements for  two  positions  in
Ukraine.  For  list members not familiar with  the  organization,
World Learning is an international private voluntary organization
which focuses on developing the knowledge, skills, and  attitudes
needed  to contribute effectively to international  understanding
and global development. World Learning works in more than  ninety

PROJECT DIRECTOR

Sought for potential two year assignment in NGO strengthening project in Ukraine. Lead and manage a consortium of implementing partner organizations; coordinate office operations in several field sites; implement and oversee small grants program; guide NGO training and technical assistance activities; interact with donor(s) and governmental officials.

REQUIRES: Previous Project Director experience in and interna- tional setting; experience with NGO activities; strong manage- ment, leadership, planning and communication skills; experience with USAID. Training knowledge/experience and experience in former Soviet Union or Central/Eastern Europe a plus, as is Ukrainian or Russian language ability.

----------------------------------------------------------------- FINANCE MANAGER/ADMINISTRATOR

Sought for potential two year assignment in NGO strengthening project in Ukraine.

REQUIRES: Superior finance and accounting background; contracts and grants management experience; experience working with/for NGOs; financial reporting capability; excellent management skills; experience in international development work; proven knowledge of US government accountability requirements for not- for-profit organizations, especially those of USAID.

Experience in former Soviet Union or Central/Eastern Europe a plus, as is Ukrainian or Russian language ability. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Salary competitive.
